New Orleans Elopement Photographer | New Orleans Wedding Photographer | Fei & William

Since the Corona Virus spread, it has wrecked havoc on the events and wedding industry. All over the world, lives were put on hold, weddings were postponed and or cancelled and we were all put on strict stay at home orders with limitations on the size of gatherings. In New Orleans, elopements have always been a major thing. We are consistently on top 10 lists for destination weddings and countless couples choose New Orleans as the place for them to say thier I do's.

Fei & William were no exception. These two met online and after a good bit of courting - Fei asked William to marry her!! This wedding day proves to the world that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to have a beautiful wedding day in New Orleans. They chose to say their wedding vows with a a few friends and their immediate family in front of a fountain feature with a backdrop of southern foliage at a family home in the city.

The day of their vows, tropical Storm Cristobal was approaching the the New Orleans area with the outer bands of the storm were encroaching upon Lake Ponchartrain, I kept looking at radar maps and seeing when we'd have a window of opportunity to have the ceremony outdoors and thankfully we were able to move through the entire day without any rain falling until Fei, William and their guests sat down to eat. It was a blessing!

Since so many family members and friends couldn't be here for their day, many guests were utilizing the Zoom app on their phones and computers to be able to include those who weren't able to attend. Every as Fei's father was walking her down the aisle, he had Fei's phone and was live streaming for family abroad! With the restrictions on the number of people allowed to gather in one space, technology and apps like Zoom, Houseparty, Facebook Video Messaging, FaceTime and Skype have been indispensable in virtually allowing guests to. participate in wedding days.

With doing a Micro Wedding we still opted to have this beautiful wedding prep photos with a few lovely details, Fei and William wrote their own vows and Fei got so emotional reading her to William, she couldn't hold the tears back! <3

The couple had a caterer come in and make a beautiful dinner with Mozzarella Caprese Salad, Steamed Shrimp and crab and for desert, Croquembouche and wedding cake of course!
