Every wedding that I have the honor of shooting is special, but this one's special to me in a completely different way. I was on a plane flying from Baltimore, Maryland down to New Orleans to see my fiancé. I always fly alone and usually end up sitting with another couple next to me or I luck out and have an empty seat next to me. This particular flight was full, so I asked if a seat was taken next to another solo flyer and it went so I sat down and we started talking. Turns out, she was flying down to see her fiancé, who works in Jefferson Parrish in law enforcement, who she met while she was down in New Orleans visiting family. I couldn't believe that odds of meeting someone who was literally living the exact same romantic live as me. We talked the whole flight and just out curiosity, I asked what her line of work was and if she'd be able to parlay that to moving to the New Orleans area and she asked what I did, I sheepishly told her, I'm a wedding photographer and she asked for my card. That started our friendship and this wild journey to Alicia and Matt's wedding day!
Alicia was a very different bride, she wanted amazing coverage, but for her, the wedding day was about having her closest friends and family all in one place and partying all night long with them. She didn't have an interest in the wedding prep stuff or overly fussy portraits; she wanted to live her day to the fullest dancing and having the literal best day ever. And that she got! I created a coverage that was specific to her exact needs and delivered!
I couldn't resist documenting the incredible work of Kelly Sherlock Event Planning as she transformed The Chicory into a chic romantic space that fit Alicia and Matt's vision perfectly and the cake designed and executed by Chasing Wang floored me! My goal is to create moments that are not in existence for you yet. I crave to crate connections with my couples as clients AND as friends. As we embark on this wild ride to “I Do”, WE are going to live our lives out loud showing all the vibrance, joy, and many shades of colorful love you share with the world.
I am based out of New Orleans, Louisiana and Baltimore, Maryland and an always ready for the next adventure. I have travel and worked all over the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. My approach to photography is very non-posed focusing on relationships, not a static 20 poses, and most importantly putting YOU first!
I travel at minimum monthly for weddings, portrait work and with digital creators all around the US and internationally.
