Danielle & Nick - Charm City Perfect 5.13.2016

Hi everyone! I've been trying super hard to stick to blogging every other week.. I think I'm staying task. Writing and blogging is a foreign thing for me, I mean, I'm a photographer, not a writer. However, for this couple, telling their story, is gonna be super easy.

I first met Nick and Danielle over a bite to eat at Panera in Canton. As soon as I met Nick, I knew he as gonna be so much fun to work with. The first thing I noticed was his hair...dude has amazing hair! Throughout the whole process, Nick was amazing to work with. He took the helm when it came to working with vendors and Danielle took care of the creative tasks. She completely knocked it out of the park with her color palette, table scapes, floral choices. Everything was perfection! May 13th, fell on a Friday in 2016 and it held a bit of meaning for this couple. See it was an anniversary for them, so why not get married on that day too!

I met the couple at the Homewood Suites in Harbor East for details and wedding prep documenting, then we were off to St Leo's in Little Italy for their ceremony. I loved that they had their ceremony at the church where they are so involved. So many friends and family were there and the smiles that these two kept sharing back and forth throughout made my heart so happy! I was able to shoot formal portraits at the church while my second shooter, the fabulous Britney Netstle, headed over to the American Visionary Arts Museum to document the space and thankfully be there to get portraits started while I got stuck in rush hour traffic! Can you believe!! I made to AVAM not to terribly late to get our wedding party portraits and bride and groom portraits taken. We even finished with time leftover and the couple got to enjoy part of their cocktail hour! This reception was just everything! From lip-sync battles, breakdancing, and some of my favorite music being played by the insanely good DJ Dayve., this reception will forever be one of my favorites. Nick and Danielle's first dance song was by a personal favorite of mine, Brett Eldredge, "I Wanna Be That Song." Could y'all pull at my heart any more guys?! <3 Seriously, you know it's a good time when the Nick and the groomsmen go bonkers on the dance floor when the DJ drops Sum41. Every wedding should have a little pop-punk in the play list!! The entire night was full of laughter, smilies and good times for everyone attending. Towards the end of the night, I stole the couple away for a little low light portrait action...they were having such a great time I felt so bad about trying to pull them away from their friends and family. They were so appreciative that I let them stay in the moment. The last few minutes we made it count and got take the portraits I wanted so badly to take for them. We ended everything in the birds nest with a kiss and the city of Baltimore as our backdrop. Nothing more romantic and perfect for Nick and Danielle.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Kerns. I look so forward to seeing what this journey has in store for the two of you!

XOXO
